The Defense Ministry claims that henceforth all entertainment soldiers will be accompanied by officers when away from the base, and will be absolutely required to return to the barracks before 10 pm. That the most fervent interest imaginable has been aroused by this news of a romance between Rain and 'Kim Tae Hee', and that the press has been rushing to spew reports on the hot item is quite as expected.

To begin with, ‘Jung Ji Hoon' himself should not to be faulted regarding the number of leave days he received from the army. The granting of leaves is the responsibility of the Defense Ministry in charge of the entertainment soldiers, and a matter of military policy. Although for quite a while now there have been disgruntled comments about the leave days given not only to Ji-HoonJeong but to the majority of entertainment soldiers, the military has not taken any measures to address the issue for a long time.

The reason is simple. It is because these entertainers are following such a routine in their military service to meet the requirements of the Defense Ministry itself. The manner in which the military of the Republic of Korea holds the youth of this country hostage has not fundamentally changed in the course of the last several decades.

Under the unconditional imperative of "duty,"the military without exception imposes a halt on the progress of our youth. At some point, entertainment soldiers began to function as a means for the military to sugarcoat the violence of this system.

Military service by celebrity entertainers is exploited to serve two strands of logic, the first of which is to give the impression that "even a famous celebrity serves in the military just like us." The other effect is to point out that "celebrity entertainers demonstrate how the contemporary military allows soldiers to fully utilize their talents during service." Celebrity entertainers are thus mobilized and utilized by the military in a manner different from those of ordinary soldiers.

In the military, where a strict system is followed when issuing rewards and penalties for merits and demerits, ‘leaves’are the virtually the only form of compensation available to be offered to soldiers who have been thus mobilized and exploited.

Psy, who was ordered to re-enlist in the military because he committed the violation of giving a musical performance during the period of his alternative service, disclosed during a chat on a talk show the irony that it was during the period of his second military appointment that he was forced to give the greatest number of performances, and that as compensation for the performance work, the military unit provided him with various amenities.

Moreover, it is possible to question whether the aspects of this case that the Defense Ministry rushed to address as problematic are really beyond the boundaries of the conduct that ordinary soldiers generally engage in during vacation or leave.

Following the uproar, the fact that Jung rode in a car provided by an acquaintance on the way back to barracks, and that he met privately with a person during leave has been pointed out as violations of military regulations, and in response the Defense Ministry claimed that it will take "measures to ensure fairness with other soldiers."

The progress of the relationship of ‘Jung Ji Hoon' and 'Kim Tae Hee' and whether they meet or part is not merely a constitutive property of the entertainment news media and the public ought not to be allowed to rip apart and expose their relationship; such a matter of privacy should not be violated.

For anyone who has suffered the hardships of active military duty, it is understandable that the idea of ‘Jung Ji Hoon' receiving "special privileged treatment"would arouse outrage. However, the crux of the matter is to whom this anger should be directed, and it appears that many people have completely misidentified the culprit. The real problem is not soldier Jung’s personal conduct but the policy of Korea’s Defense Ministry which has assigned a special status to celebrity entertainers within its enlistment system, and the benighted system which reflects the belief that the abuses of our outdated mandatory enlistment system can be just barely diluted in the public’s consciousness by generalizing from cases of such special treatment.

Also, we should reflect on whether our strong conviction that Jung should not receive privileged treatment is perhaps out of balance with our willingness to violate the universal human rights to which even celebrities ought to be entitled. In reaction to the double pressure of distorted practices of entertainment driven journalism and the undiscerning consumers of such journalism, the Defense Ministry is hurrying only to cover up the controversy in a manner that will deflect its own responsibilities.

In the movie "A Sweet Life," the character of 'Lee Byeong Heon' ,who is subject to a revenge for a reason he cannot fathom, finally shrieks out an appeal to 'Lee Byeong Heon' saying, "Why are you doing this to me? When all I’ve done is worked like a dog for you?" It seems that soldier 'Jung Ji Hoon' may feel just the same way at this moment.

Además, es posible cuestionar si los aspectos de este caso, lo cuales el Ministerio de Defensa se apresuró a analizar como problemáticos, estan realmente más allá de los límites de la conducta que los soldados rasos por lo general tienen durante las vacaciones o licencia.

Tras el escándalo, el hecho de que Jung iba en un coche proporcionado por un conocido en el camino de regreso a sus cuarteles y que se reunió en privado con una persona durante su licencia ha sido señalado como violación de las normas militares, y en respuesta el Ministerio de Defensa afirmó que tomará "las medidas para garantizar la equidad con otros soldados."

En la película "A Sweet Life", el personaje de 'Lee Byeong Heon', quien está sujeto a una venganza que por alguna razón que no puede comprender, al llegar el final, con gritos que piden ayuda 'Lee Byeong Heon' dice: "¿Por qué me están haciendo esto a mí? Cuando todo lo que he hecho es trabajar como un perro para ustedes?”. Al parecer, el soldado Jung Ji Hoon debe sentirse de la misma manera en este momento.

[뉴스핌=이슈팀] 복무기강 해이와 특별대우 수혜의 도마 위에 오른 가수 비(31·본명 정지훈)에 대해 국방홍보원이 비의 휴가내역을 공개 하는 등 해명에 나섰다.

지난 1일 연예매체 디스패치는 비와 김태희(33)의 데이트 사진과 함께 두 사람의 열애설을 보도했다.

그러나 해당 사진이 공개되면서 열애사실 보다 더욱 논란이 된 것이 있었다. 바로 비의 탈모보행. 현역 병사는 휴가나 출타 시 전투복을 입었다면 실외에서 착모를 하는 것이 원칙이나 포착된 사진 속 비는 전투복을 입고 있지만 모자는 벗고 있는 모습이다.

이에 일부 네티즌은 국방부에 비 탈모보행을 신고하는 민원을 올리는가 하면 "비와 김태희가1주일에 한 번 꼴로 만나 데이트를 즐긴다"는 보도 내용을 토대로 "비의 복무기강에 문제가 있는 것 아니냐" "휴가 및 외박에 특혜가 있었던 걸로 보인다"는 지적을 하고 나섰다.

실제로 공개된 비의 휴가내역을 보면 국방부 국방홍보원 홍보지원대 소속인 비는 지난 해에만 약 62일의 휴가 및 외박을 다녀왔다. 정기휴가를 제외한 포상휴가만 13일, 위로휴가는 5일로 파악됐다. 공식 외박은 당시 복무 중인 연예사병 가운데 가장 많은 10일이었다.

이에 대해 국방홍보원 관계자는 2일 한 매체와의 통화에서 "연예병사들의 휴가일수 등으로 빚어진 특혜논란은 국감 진행 당시 제기 됐던 문제고 이에 국방홍보원은 충분히 해명했었다"며 "이번 비의 특혜논란도 그 연장선상에 있다고 생각되며 김태희와의 열애설과 더불어 더 주목받고 있는 것 같다"고 전했다.

이어 "국방부 본부에서 이번 건에 대해 다시 조사할 예정이고 시정될 부분이 있다면 추후에 발표될 것"이라며 "우선 비의 휴가 및 외박은 불법이나 위법사항이 아니다. 현재 정확히 밝혀진 부분이 없기 때문에 당장은 비에게 징계 역시 가해지지 않을 것"이라고 밝혔다.

雲の皆さん、メリークリスマス！
楽しいクリスマスをお過ごしですか？

役員様から下に御報告が有りましたように、役員様のお力添えの下、ケーキと共に皆様のクリスマスカードがRainに向けて送られました。
お力添えいただきました雲役員様、ありがとうございました。

11月に御参加をお願いしたクリスマスカードイベントですが、日本の方からは郵送で受け取り、海外の方々からはデータファイルでたくさん集まりました。
世界各国の雲の皆様に御協力いただいた御蔭で、データで送っていただいたカードは全て綺麗に印刷も出来ました。

ファイルは2冊になりました。
約250枚程のクリスマスカードが集まりました。

日本をはじめ
韓国、ペルー、スペイン、ハワイ、USA、ルーマニア、南アメリカ、タイ、インドネシア、ドイツ、ハンガリー、ベトナム、メキシコ、ロシア、イタリア、ラテン圏、中華圏等の多くの国からカードが届きました。

日本雲からは日本の菓子を一緒に送りました。

準備しながら本当に多彩な様々な国の方々からのカードが届き、私達のアーティストが本当に世界中の方々に愛されているのだと実感いたしました。

Dear Clouds, Merry Christmas!

Are you having a very Merry Christmas?

As the board member, [구름]강상연, mentioned earlier, Christmas cards and cakes from Clouds have been sent to Rain without any misadventure. I am thankful to you for your help, [구름]강상연.

We began work on the Christmas card project in November. During the project, Japanese fans and overseas fans sent me their Christmas cards by parcel post and in data files, respectively, and all the printed files were well saved on two pages and the number of those Christmas cards was about 250.

Clouds fans from many countries such as South Korea, Peru, Spain, Hawaii, USA, Rumania, South America, Thailand, Indonesia, Germany, Hungary, Vietnam, Mexico, Russia, Italy, Latin speaking countries, Chinese speaking countries, etc. including Japan, participated in this project.
The low-resolution pictures below are to protect their personal informations, and they show the process of the project.

And, Japanese Clouds sent him a couple of boxes containing Japanese snacks in addition to Christmas cards. Maybe he shared them with his soldier mates.

Queridas Nubes, ¡Feliz Navidad!

¿Está teniendo una muy Feliz Navidad?

Como el miembro de la junta, [구름] 강상연, ha mencionado anteriormente, las tarjetas de Navidad y pasteles de nubes han sido enviados a Rain sin ningún contratiempo. Estoy agradecida por su ayuda, [구름] 강상연.

Comenzamos a trabajar en el proyecto de tarjetas de Navidad en noviembre. Durante el proyecto, las fans japonesas y las fans del extranjero me enviaron sus tarjetas de Navidad por paquete postal y en los archivos de datos, respectivamente, y todos los archivos impresos se guardaron bien en dos páginas y el número de las tarjetas de Navidad fue alrededor de 250.

Nubes de muchos países, como Corea del Sur, Perú, España, Hawaii, EE.UU., Rumania, América del Sur, Tailandia, Indonesia, Alemania, Hungría, Vietnam, México, Rusia, Italia, los países de habla latina, países de habla china, etc incluyendo Japón, participaron en este proyecto.

Kepada Clouds, Selamat Hari Natal!

Apakah kalian merayakan Natal dengan meriah?

Seperti yang telah disinggung oleh 8^th term Cloud Executive, [구름]강상연, kartu Natal dan kue dari Clouds sudah dikirim kepada RAIN. Saya berterimakasih atas bantuan Anda, [구름]강상연.

Kami mulai mengerjakan proyek Kartu Natal ini pada bulan November. Selama proyek berlangsung, fans dari Jepang dan luar negri telah mengirimkan kartu Natal mereka lewat paket pos dan files (email),  dan semua file telah dicetak dan disusun dalam dua file folder, seluruhnya ada sekitar 250 kartu Natal.

Clouds dari berbagai Negara seperti Korea Selatan, Peru, Spanyol, Hawaii, Amerika Serikat, Rumania, Amerika Selatan, Thailand, Indonesia, Jerman, Hungaria, Vietnam, Meksiko,Rusia, Italia, negara-negara berbahasa Latin, Negara-negara berbahasa China, dll. termasuk Jepang, berpartisipasi dalam proyek ini.

Foto ber-resolusi rendah dibawah ini adalah untuk melindungi informasi pribadi mereka, dan untuk menunjukkan proses pelaksanaan proyek tersebut.

Dan, Cloud Jepang juga mengirimkan beberapa kotak snack khas Jepang untuk RAIN bersama dengan kartu Natal. Mungkin dia bisa menikmatinya bersama-sama dengan rekan sesama prajurit.
